Crazy Star Wars Desk

This amazing Star Wars desk was created by Tom Spina and Richard Riley of Tom Spina Designs for Mark Hall, the lead singer of the Casting Crowns. Tom Spina Designs creates custom sculptures, functional art, and restoration and display of original movie props.  This Star Wars desk has two side panels with internal lighting, a carbonite block with Han Solo trapped inside, and a glass surface.

The process started with Tom Spina designs creating various concepts for Hall and after he selected the design they started the process.  It took over two months to build the Star Wars desk.  The side panels consist of computer-cut steel housings with tinted acrylic accents backlit by internal lighting.  The carbonite block was created from a 1990s licensed Star Wars prop.  They refitted the prop into a custom fabricated sheet steel housing and then they added resin fan-created pieces cast from random objects like an old car dashboard.  They then created eight custom metal supports to place the half inch thick glass above the desk.

This is one crazy desk that would amaze Star Wars fans and everyone else.  I am betting that there are millions of Star Wars fans that would give an arm and a leg to have such a cool desk.
